The Yarnell Hill Fire

The Yarnell Hill fire struck last summer in august. This fire is recorded to be one of the worst in history. This fire alone killed nineteen firefighters while facing the fire. Although there were negative events after the fire, there was a positive.  A miracle raccoon survived the horrendous fire and is now a symbol of hope for the community. The raccoon was injured but was soon sent to wildlife rescue. The raccoon was soon named Grace. Although Grace had weeks of recovery she is unable to return to the wild. Grace will soon be sent to the Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary to be an inspiration.
