No Cellphones

We all know what we can and cant do during a thunderstorm. But have you ever thought of not being able to use your phone during one. Well in china their is a new rule in order to not use a cellphone during a storm. They have put up multiple signs up stating this new rule. The reason behind doing this is because of recent deaths that they believe is a serious problem. Research has stated that it may be bad to use a corded telephone because of its direct connection to outside wires. But considering that cellphones do not have a physical connection the lighting can not strike it. This means that it is perfectly safe to use cellphones during a storm. but this is not the case in china, where authorities are enforcing the rule.
