This might be the saddest topic on this blog. Although its still worth talking about. by now you have probably realized that the human body is recycled after death. But what happens to your clothes that are put into the casket with the deceased. most people wear synthetic fabrics that don't break down like hemp, silk, and, cotton. Pia Interlandi, fashion designer created biodegradable garments. She got this idea after having to dress her grandfather for his funeral.  "It's a big bag of nutrients and water and protein. When you place it into the earth, I think the garment is almost like wrapping paper". ~ Interlandi. From now on I'm going to try to write about happier topics.

A couple of questions popped into my mind today while at school. I just thought it would be right for me to share them with you. My first question is "how do plants protect themselves from predators?" My second question was "how do plants change colors in different seasons?" Have fun pondering on those questions.

非核 (Nuclear Free)

Monday was  considered a good day in Japan. This was the day that Japan turned off their last nuclear reactor which led them to be 100% nuclear-free. The Kansai Electric power turned off the Oi nuclear plant due to necessary inspections. This was the first time that Japan didn't have nuclear activity in decades. Japan hasn't officially selected a date on which they will turn their reactors back on. This means so much because Japan is the worlds third biggest economy. Nuclear plants supply japan with 1/3 of the electricity used. Will America ever be able to make a change which required absolutely no nuclear energy? If a country as technologized as Japan can make such a significant change so  can America.

Stupid plants. Their always ruining the fun. I only want to travel the world but every time I try those plants think it will be cool to remove me from roaming freely in the air. I was on my way to a continent called North America when this older looking plant decided to catch me and keep me from getting there. I guess my situation could be worse. I could have got absorbed by a newly planted plant that isn't going to die anytime soon. This plant on the other hand looks like its going to die any day now. of course that doesn't really matter considering that I will have to wait what feels like a million years for a human to mine for fossil fuels and once again release me to the air. Once that day comes I will  try my hardest to get to North America. Until then I'm going to work on being more scary in hopes of that those plants would want to stay far away from me.

Who do strollers benefit?

When you think of necessary products to new parents diapers, clothes, and strollers are the first things to approach your mind. This is because strollers are becoming more and more popular to todays society, with newer products always being developed. Not only are these strollers increasing in size but also are the children you may see inside of them. I don't believe strollers are bad to newborns considering that they are unable to walk yet, but once they reach the milestone of walking you should put away the stroller. "Walking stimulates brain processes that cannot be replaced by riding" says Wayne Curtis. Walking teaches children basic skills necessary in life. Walking also allow children to have their own thoughts and gives them freedom to be unique. Although it may be difficult to have a toddler with you that is not in a stroller it must be done in order for that child to live a healthy life.

Don't you love mosquitoes. of course you don't and i don't blame you. it also doesn't help that these annoying creature carry malaria. (If you didn't know malaria is a life threatening disease.) The invention is called a kite patch which will repel mosquitoes for up to 48 hours. This patch will basically make you invisible to all mosquitoes.  The patch will easily stick to clothing and various forms of equipment. the reason the Kite patch is truly being developed is because "Malaria continues to kill a child every minute of the day – which is why we’re working 24/7 to build a new approach to help change the game against mosquitoes." - Grey Frandsen, Kite Patch Team Lead. The Kite patch will begin selling in Uganda which is the largest country affected by malaria. Although you may think that you cant possibly wait to get one your going to have to because it could take up to a year to be approved to sell in the US.
